Panel discussion The Metamorphoses of Sigmund: Freud and His Afterlives at the Wilma Theatre

Artist and analyst: In conjunction with the production of Hysteria, about the 1938 meeting of Sigmund Freud and Salvador Dalí, the Wilma Theater presents the panel discussion The Metamorphoses of Sigmund: Freud and His Afterlives, a look at the influence the two had on psychology, art, and popular culture. Panelists include psychiatrist and poet Salman Akhtar, authors Mark Edmundson (The Death of Sigmund Freud: The Legacy of His Last Days) and Ellen Handler Spitz (Image and Insight: Essays in Psychoanalysis and the Arts), and Dalí scholar Jonathan Wallis. Be’Tipul – Season 2, Episode 1

Be’Tipul is the Original Israeli Version of In Treatment.

The first season and second seasons of the Israeli series on which the HBO Series In Treatment was based, Be’tipul, is available for purchase by contacting Tamar Schwartz at 718-728-7416 or by email at Psypsa@aol.com The series is Hebrew with English subtitles. The first season may not play on all DVD players and computers as it is in PAL format. The second season will play on all US players.

Symposium 2010: Love, Sex and Passion: The Anatomy of Desire

I am pleased to announce that Symposium 2010 will be held on March 6, 7 2010 in NYC.  We are also looking into video conferencing in other locations including Israel.

The theme:  Love, Sex and Passion: The Anatomy of Desire

The final panel  chaired by Glen Gabbard will be on Desire in the TV series  In Treatment  We will show clips illustrating desire in the transference from BeTipul- the  doctor (Season 1) and the lawyer (Season 2)
