This newly published Karnac collection, a part of the CIPS series on
the Boundaries of Psychoanalysis, features a fascinating format in
which four psychoanalytic clinical cases of sadomasochism are
presented. Each case is then discussed by three clinicians.
Contributors include — in addition to the IPTAR authors — the
Novicks, Leo Rangell (his last written work), Grotstein, M. Hanley,
McBride, Rockwell, Robinson and Wurmser. Two of the editors –
Harriet Basseches and Paula Ellman – will be joining us from
Washington at the party, and there will be brief remarks by the
contributors present.
