The winds of war and dynamic view of historical events from Sasha Rolde on IP.net

Dear Colleagues,

the winds of war are upon us again – so I turn to the website to see if we can get any clarification of what human beings are about and up to in contemporary society and if we have any answers.

History: our DNA, our first addiction, Freud & James Joyce from Sasha Rolde on IP.net

Dear Colleagues,

Although the summer weather invites outdoor activities, I hope that the long July 4th weekend will afford an opportunity for you ( especially given the stormy weather today) to read the posts on the international psychoanalytic website. There is an unusual number of entries this week and I had a difficult time choosing a some over others but as usual, I have picked out a few posts that interested me and have listed them below, followed by the entire list of contents. I continue to be amazed at the relevance of the posts to the current world political and social situation. Our profession gives us a perspective that we need to spread into society to have an impact.

My choices:

1) I am struck by the upcoming announcement: Totem and Taboo After Auschwitz with Betty Fuks at Aprss-Coup’ The theme is as relevant today as it was then; try to attend.
