The Unbearable Lightness of Being is in the beginning a very sexy movie. Erotic might be a better term for a movie review, but erotic is too affected a choice for this film. It is just sexy, light, and fun. Tomas is a young exuberantly handsome brain surgeon in Prague who enjoys his success with women,and also the pleasant envy he arouses in his male co workers who marvel at the ease and freedom of his sexual adventures. A surgeon is most likely to be successful when he has a quick light touch because his patients heal faster. Tissue does not do well, if it is handled a lot and with a heavy hand. this ability spills over into his love life…light, quick, and the young willing women do not have a broken heart from which to recover because an emotional entanglement is never part of an experience with Tomas.
