MEXICO CITY – A SAFE AND PLEASANT CONGRESS VENUE

The IPA has been diligently investigating the situation in Mexico City with respect to safety for Congress participants and their families. IPA representatives have made several visits to Mexico and all found the area around the Congress venue and hotels to be safe. There is also a reassuringly strong and visible police presence in the central city area. Major Congresses such as the World AIDS Congress with 25,000 delegates have been held in recent times in Mexico City with no reported incidents taking place, so we are confident in recommending it to you as a safe location.
