With profound regret I inform you that one of the most forceful voices for psychoanalysis has been silenced. Leo Rangell, the first man to be named Honorary President of APsaA, passed away early today at the age of 97.  Leo had undergone a relatively routine surgical procedure but his post-op course had become quite complicated. Leo had been a major, and constant, contributor to our scientific literature for eight decades, including the present one.
