Anna Buchheim to Receive Psa Award

Anna Buchheim will receive an A Psa award for her work presented in the paper listed here, a study of brain scan efficacy in long-term psychotherapy. This kind of work is a direct rebuke to the short-sighted critiques such as the one published in the New York Times last Sunday.

Living with Medical Conditions Seminar with Norman Straker at WAW

Norman Straker MD will be presenting two lectures at the William Alison White Institute at their ” Living with Medical Conditions Seminar” on his work with cancer patients and their families. The lectures are scheduled for Thursday Oct.10, 2013 and Nov.14, 2013 between 1;30 to 3;00 PM. He is the editor and author of the recent book ” Facing Cancer and the Fear Of Death, A Psychoanalytic Perspective on Treatment. Copies of the book will be offered for sale at these lectures.

1. The monthly series will begin on October 23rd with a presentation by Jerry Fromm, Ph.D., from Austen Riggs, on issues of organizational transition centering on founders of not-for-profits.
