John Brenkman is Distinguished Professor of Comparative Literature and English at the CUNY Graduate Center and Baruch College, where he also directs the U.S.-Europe Seminar. His most recent book is The Cultural Contradictions of Democracy: Political Thought since September 11. Forthcoming are Mood and Trope: The Rhetoric and Poetics of Affect and James the Minimalist: An Essay on the Late Novels.
Paola Mieli is a psychoanalyst practicing in New York City, president of Après-Coup Psychoanalytic Association.
Dany Nobus is Professor of Psychoanalytic Psychology and Pro-Vice-Chancellor for External Affairs at Brunel University London. He is also the Chair of the Freud Museum London, and the author of numerous books and papers on the history, theory and practice of psychoanalysis.
Mario Eduardo Costa Pereira is a psychoanalyst and psychiatrist. He is a full professor of Clinical Psychopathology at the Laboratoire de Psychopathologie Clinique et Psychanalyse of Université d’Aix-Marseille (France), director of the Laboratory of Psychopathology: Subject and Singularity (LaPSuS) at the Department of Medical Psychology and Psychiatry at the State University of Campinas (Brazil) and director of Corpo Freudiano Psychoanalytic School, São Paulo.
Renata Salecl is a philosopher and sociologist. She is Senior Researcher at the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law, Ljubljana, Slovenia and Professor at the School of Law, Birkbeck College, University of London. She is also recurring Visiting Professor at Cardozo School of Law, New York. Her latest book, Tyranny of Choice (London, Profile Books, 2010), has been translated into 15 languages. Her previous books include On Anxiety (Routledge, 2004) and (Per)versions of Love and Hate (Verso, 1998).
