Friday Night Guest Lecture
Internal Racism in Clinical Practice

The Friday Night Guest Lecture is free and open to the public. M. Fakhry Davids, MSc is a psychoanalyst of South African origin, in full-time practice in London. He is a training and supervising analyst of the British Psychoanalytic Society and honorary senior lecturer in the psychoanalysis unit, University College London and visiting lecturer at the Tavistock Clinic. He has written on a number of psychoanalytic topics. His book, Internal Racism: A Psychoanalytic Approach to Race and Difference, was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2011. >>Learn More

Earl Bland, PsyD, and John Poston, PhD, from the Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University will begin the conference with a plenary panel and discussion titled: “Defining Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Competence: Challenges, Opportunities, and Recent Developments.” This is a working conference focusing on psychodynamic training issues.
