Is Daddy Always Right?
When Decision-Making Norms Seem So Arbitrary
Drawing on systems consultations with non-profits, Mohan will explore:
a) the impact of distorted accountability mechanisms
b) how over-reliance on charismatic and narcissistic leaders maintains stress and anxiety within these systems, and
c) the costs and benefits of intervening to “make changes” in such contexts.

Mohan Sikka is an executive coach and organizational consultant working over 15 years with public institutions and non-profit organizations. He served as staff consultant at Community Resource Exchange, a managing consulting firm that focuses almost exclusively on the public and NGO sectors in New York City. He currently works as an independent consultant and affiliate of several local and national consulting groups. Mohan is influenced by groups relations and systems-centered approaches in his practice. Mohan also writes fiction. His story Uncle Musto Takes A Mistress won an O. Henry and his story The Railway Aunty was made into an award-winning film entitled B.A. Pass, available from Google Play.
