Note from the CFS President

Dear Colleagues,

The last several months have been very active ones at the CFS.

We are eagerly looking ahead to 2015, when our new website will be launched, our new class of NYC candidates will begin, and our efforts toward creating an integrative curriculum (Child/Adolescent/Adult) will be in full swing. It is an exciting time at the Contemporary Freudian Society!

This is the feedback I get as I travel about in my role as President of the CFS:

We have a reputation for bringing international scholars and thinking to the psychoanalytic world. We are seen as a warm, welcoming community. We are seen as a non-hierarchical institution – one in which those who teach are down-to-earth, our training and supervising analyst process is a fair and progressive one, and our members are interested in and supportive of each other’s work.

We all have reason to be proud.

The CFS, like all non-profit educational institutions, needs your help. Please think close to home this year – we welcome all donations, large and small. No amount is too little! We want to increase participation as much as possible this year.

We very much need to raise money to continue to grow!

Warmest greetings,

Marsha Levy-Warren
President, CFS
