Robert Jay Lifton has been Research Professor of Psychiatry at Yale, Distinguished Professor at the City University of New York, Visiting Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard, and is presently a Lecturer in Psychiatry at Columbia University. In his work he has sought to combine scholarship and activism. He continues to work on war-peace issues and on the psychological and historical aspects of nuclear threat and global warming.

The Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy is a non-profit psychoanalytic training institute chartered in 1974 by the Regents of the University of the State of New York.
