What makes a CIPS Conference memorable is that each participant has an opportunity to present a case of their choosing within their small group. The parameters of presentation and material are quite flexible. Clinical material is suggested to address the topic of “trauma and transformative potential” in keeping with the theme of this year’s conference. Forty-five minutes is allotted for each participant to present, including discussion. Though this is definitively not supervision, past attendees have remarked that the safety of the small group dynamic, and the opportunity to share experience with colleagues from around the country, often stimulates new perspective on our clinical work.
