Early identification and treatment of adolescents with Borderline Personality Disorders (A-BPD) is important for preventing further deterioration and negative impacts across the life span. This raises an important challenge in terms of developing effective assessment and treatment models based on a sound understanding of the development and neurobiology of Adolescent BPD.
This conference, hosted by the Personality Disorders Institute of New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College, Department of Psychiatry, brings together international experts to discuss advances in different treatment approaches for Adolescent BPD as well as models of A-BPD in terms of neurobiology, attachment, developmental psychopathology, and object relations.
