Dr. Siever will present results from studies of the neurobiology of ersonality disorders using genetic, imaging, cognitive, pharmacologic, and physiologic techniques emphasizing implications for clinical practice and both pharmacologic, cognitive and dynamically based treatments. An individual differences approach to neurobiology of personality dimensions, prediction of treatment responses, and novel treatment approaches will be emphasized.

Students, academics and clinical professionals in the analytic community are encouraged to attend.

Educational Objectives: Attendees will be able to

1) describe some neurobiological contributors to personality disorders in order to appreciate the interplay of biological and psychological aspects in personality functioning.
2) describe the treatment implications, both pharmacologic and dynamic, of these neurobiological contributors
