IPA CONGRESS BULLETIN,

IPA CONGRESS PAPER DATABASE – PRAGUE PAPERS
The IPA has launched an interactive Congress Paper Database which works as a search engine for you to access many papers and presentations delivered at the Prague Congress. Records include complete papers, as well as some abstracts and summaries. To find a paper all you need to do is enter either the title, name of author, type of session or a key word (subject). All confidential papers have been excluded from the database. The papers can be downloaded as PDFs.

Following the Prague Congress, all papers from past IPA congresses will be uploaded to the database and will be fully accessible as a Congress Paper Archive, where you will be able to search for papers by year and by Congress.

WORKSHOP ON WRITING A PSYCHOANALYTIC PAPER FOR THE INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF PSYCHOANALYSIS

Chair: Dana Birksted-Breen. Workshop Leader: Rachel Blass

In this workshop you will discuss essential aspects of preparing a paper for publication. You will work together on a example of a potential paper for submission. Those interested in participating in this workshop are invited to submit in advance papers or simply ideas for papers that they are working on or thinking about writing. Examples will be selected from these. Please send these to Rachel Blass r.blass@ucl.ac.uk

We hope that through this workshop participants will feel encouraged to send their papers for publication and be better equipped to do so. The workshop will be in English. Please register with r.blass@ucl.ac.uk if you wish to participate in the workshop so that we can send you the paper to be discussed in advance.

FILMING AT THE CONGRESS

The IPA will be making a short film at the Prague Congress so that Members and others unable to participate can see what it was like. The film will be posted on the IPA’s website and may also be shown at other psychoanalytic conferences and elsewhere. Filming will not take place in sessions classed as confidential, but may be at any other time.

If you do not wish to be filmed please write to Congress@ipa.org.uk by 20 July 2013.
