We invite you to a clinical presentation of an initial consultation with a very concrete woman who required thinking outside of the box. Verbatim session notes will be interspersed with the analyst’s reflections on the process, as shelistened for symbolic meaning hidden in the manifest content as a vehicle to gain deeper understanding of the patient’s struggle.

Hadassah Ramin, LCSW, FIPA, is training and supervising analyst and permanent faculty in the Psychoanalytic training institute of the Contemporary Freudian Society.

She is also a member and supervisor at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research and on the faculty of their Re-specialization program, and an instructor and supervisor at the Metropolitan Institute for Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

She is in private practice in Manhattan
