A Better World or an end of an era? By Sasha Rolde on InternationalPsychoanalsys.net

Dear colleagues,

First of all, I tried to weed out some announcements that I had posted before, but some may be repeated.

The multitude of posts on the international website this week made it extremely difficult to chose just a few to highlight. **Nevertheless, given the turbulence of the world as we know it, both globally and within our profession, I would begin the list of my favorites with an intriguing sounding film which I wish I could attend and a few others which I recommend reading. **Here are my choices:

1) **In a Better World – Danish movie, winner of both an Oscar and Golden Globe award for best foreign film, that beautifully dramatizes the complexities of personal, interpersonal, and sociopolitical events, riddled with the best and worst of human behavior. To be shown at Fall Film Night at WCSPP

2) A must read is ***A Soldier***s Self- Cannibalization: Moral Injury*** with Introduction by Nathan Szajnberg, MD, Managing Editor

3) since the dispensing of psychotropic drugs is now worldwide and ubiquitous, it behooves us all to read *****what you need to know and current trends with Deborah Plachta at NYPSI***
