Aaron Esman, M.D. is Faculty, New York Psychoanalytic Institute, and Professor of Clinical Psychiatry Emeritus, Weill Cornell Medical College. He is the author of numerous psychoanalytic papers addressing a wide range of clinical and cultural issues, including, “Art and Psychopathology: The Message of ‘Outsider’ Art,” “Psychoanalysis and the Art of the Mentally Ill,” and editor and translator of “Madness and Art: The Life and Works of Adolf Wölfli.”

Neue Galerie New York, created by businessman, philanthropist, and art collector Ronald S. Lauder as a tribute to his friend, art dealer and museum exhibition organizer Serge Sabarsky, is a museum devoted to early twentieth-century German and Austrian art and design.
