PSYCHOANALYTIC PRINCIPLES OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT

This course presents an overview of current psychoanalytic perspectives on development. The interaction of constitutional factors and environmental influences on the formation of unconscious fantasy and intrapsychic conflict during the sequential stages of development will be emphasized. Clinical examples will be offered to illustrate the concepts being presented.
