Dr. Brandt will discuss the varied responses and expected conflicts of children at different ages and how parents, therapists, and attorneys for children can help them navigate this transition.

Dr. Stephanie Brandt is an adult and child psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. She is Chairman of the Ethics Committee at NYPSI and teaches the courses on Ethics for candidates. She supervises psychiatry residents and fellows at the New York Hospital/ Cornell and maintains a private practice in Manhattan. She provides psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, psychopharmacology and supervision as well as private comprehensive evaluations that are specific to divorcing families.

In addition to her practice, Dr. Brandt is often appointed as an evaluator and expert witness in domestic custody cases and in international Hague Convention litigation. She specializes in cases where allegations of domestic violence and sexual abuse are factors.
