NYPSI Extension Program: Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychotherapy: Similarities and Differences
This course will explore the topic of psychoanalysis and dynamic psychotherapy and their similarities and differences along both theoretical and clinical venues. Clinical material will be provided and participants will be encouraged to bring their own cases for discussion.

Francis Baudry, M.D. is a Training and Supervising Analyst at New York Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. He has a special interest in a wide range of analytic theories including Kleinian, French (especially the work of André Green), and South American. Dr. Baudry has written on a wide variety of topics including subjectivity, character supervision, and applied analysis.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. describe basic aspects of theory of supervisory process
2. identify problems of supervisee
3. formulate dynamics of problems
4. figure out points of entry into system and remedy situation
5. evaluate results of intervention
