Erikson Institute Prize for Excellence in Mental Health
Media Colloquy
Featuring 2016 Prize Recipients: Benedict Carey, Neal Shusterman, and Steve Silberman

Free and open to the public, the colloquy, co-hosted by essayist and author Joshua Wolf Shenk and Director of the Erikson Institute Jane G. Tillman, PhD, ABPP, will feature a presentation by each of the 2016 recipients of the Erikson Institute Prize for Excellence in Mental Media. These individuals have brought nuance, compassion, and rigor to their writing and reporting on issues related to mental health. There will be a panel discussion and a Q&A session to follow. Three (3) continuing education credits offered for MDs, PhDs, PsyDs, and social workers.

Featuring Phyllis Kornfeld
Rich in images and insights, this talk by Phyllis Kornfeld will look at her experiences during a 34-year career working directly with incarcerated people in all levels of security – from county jails to death row, and will be followed by a discussion with Kornfeld and Mark Mulherrin, instructor in visual arts at the Austen Riggs Center. Free and open to the public.
