JOYCE HISTORICAL/HYSTERICAL: THE KNOW-HOW OF LALANGUE, Workshop
JEAN-MICHEL VAPPEREAU

Returning to Lacan’s reading of Joyce, this workshop will explore the intrinsic and extrinsic structure of language and in particular the know-how of lalangue. We will focus on the notions of signifier, repetition, narcissism, sexuation and difference, underlining the role of “involution” as the bond connecting the identical with the different.
