Ms. Meckseper will discuss her current work and that inspired by the WWII Nazi destruction of all artistic work in her hometown in Germany, and its impact on her and those who lived the experience. Meckseper will be joined by NAAP’s other eminent, keynote speakers, psychoanalysts Emily Kuriloff, PhD andArnold Richards, MD. Dr. Kuriloff will speak about the findings of her research and interviews published in her recently released book, Contemporary Psychoanalysis and the Legacy of the Third Reich. Dr. Richards will extend the discussion of the impact of “policies of exclusion” as they exist in society today, even within the profession of psychoanalysis. An open discussion will follow the presentations.
