THE GENEALOGY OF OBJET (PETIT) A, Workshop MARCO ANTONIO COUTINHO JORGE
Lacan often said that object a and the real were his only two inventions in psychoanalytic theory. It’s startling, then, to discover that object a in fact has deep roots in the history of psychoanalytic concepts. The workshop will consider these elements and their crucial impact on Lacan’s construction of object a.
