Debates
Due to sociocultural factors as well as scientific and technological advancements, the traditional model of the family based on biological links and on fixed feminine and masculine roles is undergoing a profound transformation. New configurations with respect to gender and biological connections challenge our theories and invite us to investigate these issues so we can help our patients face the risks and the opportunities these new love bonds bring.
The online debate, “New Families: what psychoanalysis has to say about them” starting Monday, 3rd February and closing Friday, 28th March will be chaired by Kimberly Scholefield Kleinman, The Contemporary Freudian Society, CFS, USA.
Three short presentations by:
-Mali Mann, American Psychoanalytic Association, APsaA, USA,
-Anna Maria Nicolò Corigliano, Società Psicoanalitica Italiana, SPI, Italia,
-Janine Puget, Asociación Psicoanalítica de Buenos Aires, APdeBA, República Argentina,
will introduce the debate.
Upcoming online debates are “The Paternal Function in Psychoanalytic Technique” and “The Social Responsibility of the Psychoanalyst” .
