A celebration of the 100th birthday of Dr. Martin Bergmann
Please register via www.nypsi.org under Events and Lectures
This special meeting will celebrate the 100th Birthday of the noted psychoanalyst and educator, Dr. Martin Bergmann. Looking back on over 50 years of practice, Dr. Bergmann will reflect on his vast experience as therapist and educator. Author of many scholarly books including some on the history of our field, he is in a unique position to share insights about the evolution of psychoanalysis and give an overview of the current state of our discipline today including issues concerning the education of the next generation.
A small reception will be held in the back of the Auditorium after the talk.
Martin Bergmann is Clinical Professor of Psychology, NYU Postdoctoral Program; Member, Board of Directors, Fund for Psychoanalytic Research and Development; Honorary member, American Psychoanalytic Association; and 1997 Sigourney Award winner for outstanding contributions to psychoanalysis.
