Siri Hustvedt is the acclaimed author of a book of poetry, 5 novels and a non-fiction book: The Shaking Woman or A History of My Nerves, an interdisciplinary exploration of her own seizure disorder. A recent essay appeared in the 2011 journal, Neuropsychoanalysis. She is fascinated by psychoanalysis, neuroscience, philosophy, literature, and, in fact, this month her essays Living, Thinking, Looking will be published.
Siri Hustvedt has spoken eloquently at neuropsychoanalytic conferences. In May 2011, she gave the 39th annual Sigmund Freud lecture in Vienna for the Sigmund Freud Foundation. She is full of thought, ideas, and vitality which enrich our professional understanding.
