The Nest – A short psychoanalytic film by Em Cooper

The North American premiere of Em Cooper’s short film The Nest will take place on the 6th and 8th of October 2011 at Vancouver International Film Festival. The film traces the devastating effects of a displacement of trauma through two generations of a family.

Uniquely shot from two points of view, and weaving oil-painted animation with psychological drama, the film touches on numerous psychoanalytic themes in its quest to uncover the source of the pain and deceit buried in one family’s dark history.
