Forgotten Analysts: Siegfried Bernfeld at SF APsaA Meetings

Psychoanalysis in San Francisco is a fascinating feature of our timely fourth presentation of Forgotten Analysts.  The pioneering work of Siegfried Bernfeld,PhD (1892-1953) who came to the Bay Area in 1937 and helped found the San Francisco Psychoanalytic Institute  will be presented along with slides by Daniel Benveniste, PhD who has made important contributions to Bernfeld scholarship. Bernfeld was an educator, a contributor to the study of infancy and adolescence and a strong supporter of non-medical analysis. He was part of the first generation  of Freudians and a significant historian of psychoanalysis. This promises to be an exciting event.

June 8th, Wednesday at 2PM.
