Free Workshop on Accreditation:
The Division of Psychoanalysis (39) of the American Psychological Association, in collaboration with the Psychoanalytic Consortium, is offering a free workshop on external credentialing of psychoanalytic institutes and programs. The workshop, Accreditation of Psychoanalytic Education Programs: Embracing Diversity in a Uniform System, will be conducted by Nat Stockhamer and Sheila Hafter Gray, Trustees of the Accreditation Council for Psychoanalytic Education (ACPEinc). Directors and other interested officers or committee members of psychoanalytic institutes and programs are invited to attend this workshop and learn about the value of externalized credentialing, as well as the process and rules established by the ACPEinc.
The ACPEinc Workshop will be held 10:00 AM to 11:50 AM on Friday, April 15, 2011 in the Liberty Room of the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers (811 Seventh Avenue @ 53rd Street). Since this meeting is happening during the Division 39 Spring Meeting, please note whether you have registered for the meeting or not. We will need to make arrangements with the conference organizer for those who are not registered for the meeting.
