OPEN HOUSE & CLINICAL PRESENTATION FOR THOSE CONSIDERING POSTGRADUATE TRAINING:  MANAGING COUNTERTRANSFERENCE HATE

Wednesday, April 13, 2011
1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

What mother will admit that she hates her child?  What analyst will admit that she/he hates a patient?  In this clinical presentation, the analytic therapist will present her process of working with her hate in the  countertransference and the experience of being totally immersed in the sado/masochistic dynamics of an analytic relationship where enactments multiply as fear and hatred grow within the analytic relationship.  Can the treatment survive the hatred of both patient and analyst?
