Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies
Spaces are still available for our programmes starting in October 2010
The Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies is internationally recognised as one of the leading centres for work that focuses on the role of the unconscious mind in mental health as well as in culture and society generally. The Centre enjoys an outstanding reputation for research and has consistently achieved the highest rating in the UK’s Research Assessment Exercises, most recently in 2008.
Develop your understanding of psychoanalysis and its application to a range of topics by applying to one of our exciting MAs in Psychoanalytic Studies, Jungian and Post-Jungian Studies, and Management and Organisational Dynamics. Applications are still being accepted for 2010 entry.
All of our programmes are offered on a full- or part-time basis or by modular study.
The MA Psychoanalytic Studies provides a thorough grounding in psychoanalytic theory with a view to conceptualising ‘the unconscious’ and its relation to literature, culture, the individual or the clinic setting.
The MA Jungian and Post-Jungian Studies critically explores the texts, contexts, concepts, and clinical and socio-cultural applications of Jungian analytical psychology, providing a deep academic grounding for psychotherapists, researchers, and anyone else wishing to enrich their work, training, or study with insights from this important body of thought.
The MA Management and Organisational Dynamics, run jointly with the Business School, integrates critical management theory and systems-psychodynamic thinking, to develop a comprehensive analysis of the contemporary organisation.
