At onetime, during the heyday of psychoanalysis in America in the 1950’s and early 1960’s, Theodor Reik, was the biggest selling author on Psychoanalysis in America. And yet, to the general public his influence has apparently waned. However, his uncredited influence pervades the current controversies extant in the psychoanalytic communities of the 21st century. This conference will explore the themes of Reik’s current, yet uncredited influence.
